Itinerary

After arrival in Guwahati, begin your scenic drive towards Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya, surrounded by rolling hills and pine forests. En route, stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake, known for its breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere.

After reaching Shillong, explore some of the city’s popular attractions including:

  • Wards Lake
  • Don Bosco Museum
  • Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians
  • Lady Hydari Park
  • Police Bazaar Market

Spend the evening enjoying Shillong’s pleasant weather and vibrant local culture.

Overnight Stay: Shillong

After breakfast, proceed towards Cherrapunji (2hrs drive), famous for its dramatic landscapes, waterfalls, and caves.

Visit:

  • Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint – Spectacular valley views covered with clouds and lush greenery
  • Seven Sisters Waterfalls – Magnificent multi-stream waterfall cascading dramatically through mountain cliffs
  • Nohkalikai Waterfalls – India’s tallest plunge waterfall surrounded by breathtaking scenic landscapes

Return to Hotel by evening.

Overnight Stay: Cherrapunji

After breakfast, head towards Mawlynnong, popularly known as the cleanest village in Asia.

Explore:

  • Living Root Bridge – Unique naturally formed bridge created using ancient tree roots
  • Dawki River – Picturesque river famous for crystal-clear waters and boating experiences

Please note: Due to monsoon conditions, the Dawki River may not appear crystal clear during the months of May to August.

Return to Shillong after sightseeing.

Overnight Stay: Shillong

After breakfast, continue exploring Shillong’s local attractions.

Visit:

  • Elephant Falls – Beautiful multi-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush forest landscapes
  • Shillong Peak – Highest viewpoint in Shillong offering stunning panoramic city views
  • Air Force Museum – Interesting museum showcasing aircraft models and defense history

Later, drive towards Guwahati.

 

Overnight Stay: Guwahati

Begin the day with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India.

Later visit:

  • Bagala Maa Temple – Revered spiritual temple known for peaceful divine atmosphere
  • Guwahati Ropeway (if time permits) – Enjoy breathtaking aerial views above the Brahmaputra River

After sightseeing, proceed for drop at the railway station or airport with wonderful memories of Meghalaya and Assam.

  • Sightseeing schedules may vary depending on weather and road conditions.
  • Carry raincoats or umbrellas during sightseeing due to monsoon weather conditions.
  • Carry valid ID proof while visiting the temple premises.
  • Modest and respectful clothing is recommended for temple visits.
  • Temple queues may be longer during weekends and festive periods.
  • Photography may be restricted inside certain areas of the temple.

Cancellation Policy

1.1 Booking Confirmation 

Your booking will be confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or 50% advance of the total trip cost, followed by a written confirmation from our side. Once confirmed, the booking will be subject to this policy.

1.2 Advance Payment / Deposit

A non-refundable advance payment (as specified in the quotation/confirmation) is required to confirm and secure your booking. This advance amount is non-refundable in case of cancellation by you, irrespective of the time of cancellation. The deposit helps us block seats, make supplier commitments, and plan the tour.

1.3 Cancellation & Rescheduling

-If a rescheduling date request comes within 30 days from the trip date, the booking amount can neither be adjusted to your next date nor refunded.

-If a rescheduling date request comes prior to 30 days, it can be done without any cancellation charges in the case of domestic trips.

1.4 Customer Cancellation Charges

– All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or the booking portal.

 Non-Refundable Items (under any circumstances): 

  – Visa processing fees

  – Travel insurance premiums

  – Airline, train, bus, or ferry cancellation penalties

  – Government taxes, surcharges, or permit fees

  – Special requests or add-on services

  – Safari permits

 In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be canceled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.

– Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original mode of payment after deducting the applicable charges.
